An Explanation About Swimming Pool Filtering Systems.

As your pool collects dirt and wasteful remains overtime, the water flow gets affected and performs poorly. We are able to tell if your pool’s filter is full of wasteful debris from the gauge that would be indicating its higher-than-normal pressure. It means there is a lot of dirt inside the filter and needs to be backwashed. 

In order to backwash the filter, a number of valve needs to be adjusted so that the water flow will be redirected. Once it is redirected, we can now perform backwashing. After this, the custodian will direct all the wasteful water into the drain pipe by closing the return pipe that normally leads to the pool.

Once the wastes are removed, the custodian readjusts the valve on the filter so that the pump pipe is connected to the outlet pipe and the inlet pipe is connected back to the drainage.

This process forces the pump to push the water up allowing all the dirty wastes to be removed that will end up in the sewer system with the help of the inlet pipe. 

Backwashing & Sand-Filtering

We also specialize in other pool filtering systems, such as diatomaceous earth filters and cartridge filters. These systems allow dirty water to flow directly into the sewer system. With a diatomaceous earth filter, filter grids coated with diatomaceous earth, a powder made with diatoms (fossilized remains of a sea organism), force the water from the pool to flow into and out of the filter.

A cartridge filter, on the other hand, uses another type of filter made of polyester cloth or sometimes corrugated paper. So, instead of backwashing traditionally, you would just have to remove the filter and use water out of a hose to wash it. However, after some time (between 4 and 8 years), you would need to purchase a new cartridge filter as the debris would be too difficult to remove.
